How to give

There are three convienent methods that you can support the Houston International Adventist Church Mission. The prefered method is in person durring the Tithe and Offering portion of our weekly Divine Worship hour. However, there are special times outside of the weekly in person giving oportunity when we have a special blessing to share. When such an oportunity arises you can give online or you can mail that special gift to 13885 Beechnut Street, Houston, TX 77083-6814.

Local Needs

The Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church has many programs that allow us to share God's word effectively with our community. To better support these ministries we are renovating our existing structure into a more functional ministry-focused environment.

Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church is also working to support the Oaks Adventist School and their effort to develop a premier christian educational program and facility in Houston.

Beyond our local ministries we maintain an active, supportive presence in foreign missions.

How God May Be Calling You

Christian Stewardship

The starting point of stewardship is to recognize that God initiates stewardship. He gives us life and invites us into intimate partnership. This partnership begins with accepting Jesus Christ as Savior—experiencing the joy of Salvation. This then leads us to trust Him enough to accept Him as Lord or Owner of our lives.

Testimonies

  • "I am very impressed with the skills training that the youth receive in the Pathfinders Club. In addition to frequent camping trips, parades, investiture programs and leadership training opportunities, the club members get to select a team which participates in an annual Bible Bowl Competition. Apart from the outstanding performance of being champions in the North American Division for over five years, the team members display exemplary behavior after studying the Bible extensively. The team also testifies of improved academic performance and a deeper commitment to serving others in the community."

    Jeffrey Altemus - Pathfinders
  • "I am excited about the achievement of the Adventurers Club. Children in Grades 1-4 find great interest in developing social skills, through interactive endeavors in Music, Arts and Craft, games, and training to qualify for honor badges. They take frequent field trips, camping trips and nature walks. These activities bring families together, and foster strong family ties. Bible Study is another component that builds a sound moral foundation for these young people. The most impressive feature is to see parents surrender their lives to God based on the commitment to stand by their children as they are trained to give sacrificial service to humanity."

  • Building Project

Our church family is growing and our ministries are expanding. There is an urgent need to renovate our currently facilities and a long term plan to expand our place of worship, fellowship, and outreach. Late 2010 in partnership with Cargill Associates, Inc., our church conducted a feasibility study. You can view the results of that study online here. Our church family is currently reviewing architectural plans for development and preparing to launch a capital campaign. We hope you'll continue to visit this site and learn more about how you can impact our community by investing in this project.
