Men's ministries
Men often find themselves lost in the middle of church life. Some follow the leading and prodding of their wives, others may join the deacons and help out with repairs around the church, but many churches don’t have a program specifically reaching the spiritual and social needs necessary to integrate men into the mission. At Houston International, we have a ministry for men.

We’re excited to have an active group of women at Houston International. Our ladies gather together each month for inspiring prayer, devotion, and a little breakfast. They participate in missions to reach females across the globe. If you’ve never had a sister or maybe you just need a prayer partner, join our sisterhood of imperfect women seeking a perfect Savior.

Coming to Houston International is like traveling the globe with a one-stop destination. Because we have such a diverse congregation, it is very important to our members to reach out to foreign nations. Each year, members from Houston International have traveled abroad to host evangelistic efforts and assist local communities by meeting critical needs. Last year, the church traveled to Cuba. Read more about that exciting trip in an article featured in the Southwestern Union Record. This year the church is sponsoring a trip to Tanzania. Past Mission Trips: Kenya (2006), Colombia (2008), Philippines (2009), Cuba (2010). For more information, contact Elder Stephen Mbola.
Health Ministries
Adventists are known for leading the world with our progressive health message. With institutions such as Loma Linda, we have a health system and approach to living balanced lives that really works. At Houston International, we try to promote good health through our Health Ministry department. Often, we host health expos open to the local community. Our annual mission trips typically provide medical supplies to foreign countries. We also have a wealth of very practical information available to our church community through our bulletin board, health room, and occasional food demos. If you’re looking to improve your health, come check out what’s happening. For more information, please contact our Health Ministry leader, Andre Chin.

“One of the most foundational of our distinctive Seventh-day Adventists beliefs, based directly on Scripture, is the belief in freedom of choice. Freedom of choice is really the central theme of the great controversy between good and evil...God’s system of government has always been based on His character; after all, ‘God is love’ (1 John 4:8). Any obedience that stems from force of fear is contrary to God’s principles. The devil attacked the foundation of God’s system of government by claiming that no one worships God out of love, only out of fear...
